Praatplaat – Technologies for Criminal Investigations
Voor de lectorale rede van Jaap Knotter (2023) visualiseerde ik de inhoudelijke focus van het lectoraat Technologies for Criminal Investigations in een overzichtelijke praatplaat. Het publiek ontving deze visuele samenvatting als handout, waarmee ze de rode draad van het verhaal makkelijk konden volgen én achteraf konden terughalen. Op basis van een gesprek met Jaap heb ik zijn onderzoekslijnen weten samen te vatten in deze beknopte vorm.
In 2025 maakte ik een geüpdatete versie van de praatplaat, aangepast aan de nieuwe accenten binnen de onderzoekslijnen van het lectoraat. De plaat visualiseert complexe thema’s als forensische technologie, criminaliteitsbestrijding en samenwerking met het werkveld op een toegankelijke en gestructureerde manier.
For the inaugural lecture of Jaap Knotter (2023), I visualized the core focus of the research group Technologies for Criminal Investigations in a clear and engaging visual summary. This ‘talking sheet’ was handed out to the audience, helping them follow the narrative thread during the presentation and easily revisit the main points afterward. Based on a conversation with Jaap, I distilled his research themes into this concise visual format.
In 2025, I created an updated version of the sheet, reflecting new emphases within the research group’s focus areas. The visual captures complex topics – such as forensic technology, crime prevention, and collaboration with the professional field – in an accessible and structured way.
