After Lieven and Marlien asked me to design the birth cards for both of their children, they also asked me to design their wedding invitation! They wanted a simple and clean design with the four of them in the front with grass and mountains on the background.
Lieven, creative genius as he is, wanted to do something special with the design. He decided to make a little wooden diorama of it. He used a hot press to transfer the design on the laser cutted wooden parts.
And for their actual wedding day, Lieven took it a step further and made the wedding invitation in a bigger size. Oh, I mean life size! So the question was if I wanted to paint my design on a giant wooden canvas – and as you can see, I did.
